Aim of the project is to re-establish the active raised bog habitats and site hydrology in the areas that are influenced by drainage and to protect the raised bog habitats, plants and animals of European and Latvian importance.

The Sixth Meeting of the Project's Steering Group 20/05/2013 21:00

In the Steering Group meeting the project manager Dr.biol. M. Pakalne informed about achieved results during the three years in four project sites – about elaboration of Nature Management Plans, building of dams, monitoring of vegetation and hydrology.

The information coordinator L.Strazdiņa informed about project photo exhibition “Secrets of Mires”, maintenance of project home page and introduced with content of the project book. The meeting was closed by the project assistant A.Slišāns who informed about finances of the project.
