Aim of the project is to re-establish the active raised bog habitats and site hydrology in the areas that are influenced by drainage and to protect the raised bog habitats, plants and animals of European and Latvian importance.

Second Steering Group Meetings for Nature Management Plans 30/11/2010 00:00

Latvian Fund for Nature is preparing Nature Management Plans for four Natura 2000 sites during LIFE+ project "Restoration of Raised Bog Habitats in the Especially Protected Nature Areas of Latvia". During December Steering Group Meetings will be held.

December 9th, 2010 at 10:00 Steering Group Meeting for "Melnais Lake Mire" will be held in Olaine, 33 Zemgales Street. Manager of the Management Plan is Valda Baroniņa.

December 10th, 2010 at 11:00 Steering Group Meeting for "Rožu Mire" will be held in Sala, 2 Skolas Street, 2nd floor. Manager of the Management Plan is Gundega Freimane.
December 16th, 2010 10:30 Steering Group Meeting for "Aizkraukle Mire and Forests" will be heldin Aizkraukle, 20 Kalna Street. Manager of the Management Plan is Valda Baroniņa.
December, 2010 Steering Group Meeting for "Aklais Mire" will be held. Manager of the Management Plan is Jānis Reihmanis.
