Aim of the project is to re-establish the active raised bog habitats and site hydrology in the areas that are influenced by drainage and to protect the raised bog habitats, plants and animals of European and Latvian importance.

Public Tender is organised by EC LIFE+ project "Raised Bogs" for making management actions in Melnais Lake Mire. Several sub-contractors are interested to take part in dam building.

To discuss dam building on the ditches LIFE team met potential sub-contractors in the Project's Office as well as in Melnais Lake Mire.
