Aim of the project is to re-establish the active raised bog habitats and site hydrology in the areas that are influenced by drainage and to protect the raised bog habitats, plants and animals of European and Latvian importance.

Exhibition Opening in Ogre 14/01/2011 00:00

January 13th Raised Bog exhibition opening took place in Ogre. It will be there till February 7th.

Exhibition was opened in the hall of Ogre Culture Centre. Everyone who will visit this Centre will be able to get to know "Raised Bog Secrets".

 

 

During the opening event the movie "Story about the Mires" was demonstrated and the Project Manager Māra Pakalne did a lecture about Values of Raised Bogs.

Opening of the exhibition was attended by 60 people: authors of photos, members of Ogre Photo Club, journalists and other who were interested.
