Aim of the project is to re-establish the active raised bog habitats and site hydrology in the areas that are influenced by drainage and to protect the raised bog habitats, plants and animals of European and Latvian importance.

Nature Management Plans Will Be Discussed in Public 01/01/2011 00:00

Latvian Fund for Nature has prepared Nature Management Plans for all four project sites and now is organising Public Discussions.

For Nature Reserve Melnais Lake Mire on January 11th 10:00 in Olaine, 33 Zemgales Street.

For Nature Reserve Rožu Mire on January 14th 11:00 in Sala, 2 Skolas Street.

For Nature Reserve Aizkreukle Mire and Forests on February 8th 11:00 in Aizkraukle, 20 Kalna Street.

For Nature Reserve Aklais Mire on February 25th in Daudzese, in Daudzese Elementary School.
